OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS

Good Morning OLA!   Today is Wednesday, September 18, 2024. 

Morning Offering and Special Intentions:

Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.  

 

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

 

James 3:13  Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.

Thoughts on today's verse:  Wisdom is proven right by the character of a loving lifestyle. Which are you closer to in your walk with Jesus -- wisdom expressed through humble and loving lifestyle or smart with feelings of superiority and arrogance?

Loving Shepherd, we know you have been a wise and loving Father to us. Help us to share that care you have lavished on us, on the person who most needs it today.  Through Jesus we pray.

 

Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

If you have a class at SSC, you will NOT report to SSC today.  Instead,

3^rd Period ~ Marine / French II / Band - Report to Room 300 – Mayer.

6th period ~ Marine-3 / Band - Report to Room 400 - Paula McRaney. 

Congratulations to Mu Alpha Theta President - Anna Kate Ivey and Vice President - Julia Hoffman. 

OLA Sports

Junior high soccer tryouts will be held tomorrow at the OLA soccer field from 4-5:30. 

OLA won their meet with Vancleave.
-OLA's relay team won the 200 medley and the 200 freestyle relays.
-Stella Cappel won the 50 freestyle and 500 freestyle
-Ella Garcia won the 100 freestyle and 100 breaststroke
-Charlotte Nobile won the 100 backstroke 

Lunch and Attendance

Teachers:  Please take enter your attendance and lunch orders.   Today’s Menu: Chicken Pot Pie with Lobster Biscuits on Top; or Soup and Salad Bar. Today’s Soup is Italian Wedding Soup.
