OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS Friday, November 12, 2021   Good Morning OLA!   Today is Friday, November 12, 2021.    Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.     In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.   Job 37:5-6 - God's voice thunders in marvelous ways; he does great things beyond our understanding. He says to the snow, 'Fall on the earth,' and to the rain shower, 'Be a mighty downpour.' Thoughts on today's verse:  Isn't that a beautiful phrase! "God's voice thunders in marvelous ways; he does great things beyond our understanding." Rather than spending a lot of time talking or thinking about how marvelous God is, let's praise him in prayer. Holy, Righteous, and Eternal God, You alone are truly and fully holy.  We cannot comprehend the distant outskirt...

OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS Thursday, November 11, 2021   Good Morning OLA!   Today is Thursday, November 11, 2021.    Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.     We continue to honor our Veterans, who have served our country with the highest respect.     In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.   Romans 13:6   This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God's servants, who give their full time to governing. Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor. Thoughts on today's verse:   Ouch! We hate taxes. But we have to admit, we enjoy many of the privileges and blessings that those taxes afford. Paul keeps reminding us in Romans 13 tha...

OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS Wednesday, November 10, 2021   Good Morning OLA!   Today is Tuesday, November 10, 2021.    Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.     We continue to honor our Veterans, who have served our country with the highest respect.     When Francis Scott Key wrote the “Star Spangled Banner” almost 200 years ago, he called America, “the land of the free and the home of the brave.” Those words are as true today as they were then. Throughout this Nation’s history, America’s soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines and coast guardsmen have bravely answered the call to defend our freedom, to aid our friends and allies, and to turn back aggressors. We can never fully repay our debt of gratitude to the more than 650,000 American service members ...

OUR LADY ACADEMY MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS Tuesday, November 9, 2021   Good Morning OLA!   Today is   Tuesday, November 9, 2021.    Please stand for our morning prayer as we remember that we are in the presence of God.     Veterans Day is a public holiday held on the anniversary of the end of World War I (November 11) to honor US veterans and victims of all wars. It replaced Armistice Day in 1954.   It’s a day for honoring all  veterans  — so no apostrophe needed.   Veterans Day is NOT the Same as Memorial Day.   A lot of Americans get his confused.  Veterans Day honors all of those who have served the county in war or peace – dead or alive – although it’s largely intended to thank living veterans for their sacrifices.   This week our prayers will be honoring Veterans.  So please this week e...

Thoughts on today's verse:  Jesus is Lord! God's plan was purposed in Christ. It centered on Christ coming at the right time. God's plan was to bring unity in Christ by making him Lord of all!  God is the only saving God and Jesus is both our Savior and Lord. So t...
